Get Started: Part 4

This part of the Get Started Guide will concentrate on adding staff members, setting access privileges, and the benefits of the Clock-In / Clock-Out feature.


Once staff have been added, they will automatically appear throughout the staff app, including the Staff List, Timesheet and Messages pages.

Tip
If you have no need to add staff, skip straight down to Clocking In & Out.


Begin by tapping on the Back Office, followed by tapping on the Staff app.

Staff

Tap on Staff List.


The staff list is the index in which information on all staff members is kept, including personal information, working time, and access privileges.

Tip
All newly downloaded applications will be preset with an Admin user. This profile can be customised, but never deleted or have its access privileges changed.

Tap on New Staff, located near the top right-hand side of the page.


The bare minimum of information required to add a new staff member is a first name and surname; everything else, including contact details, job status, and working times, can be added afterwards in the Advanced Info section.

Once a staff member has been saved they will appear on the left-hand side of the Staff List page. Tapping on them will reveal their details on the right-hand side, under Staff Info.


Tip
After being added to the Staff List, staff members will automatically appear in any place a staff member can be selected. For example, the Timesheet page, where you may add them to work shifts, or in the Messages page which staff can use to communicate with one another.

Edit or delete a staff member by selecting it and, using your thumb or finger, swipe left, revealing two icons.


Tap the Red Bin Icon to delete, or the Orange Pencil Icon to edit.

To allow a staff member to login to the Tillpoint system, you must set up a passcode for their account. In order to do this, we must go into the Advanced Info settings. Do this by tapping the Orange Pencil Icon, like in the image above, to edit the staff member’s profile.

The Access category is on the left-hand side of the Advanced Info settings.

A four-digit passcode must be set for each employee in order for them to clock-in and access the system.


Here you can set for which apps and features this staff member has access to, and what they have authority to change within the app.

Tip
The default passcode for you, the Admin, on all newly downloaded applications is 0000.

Clock-In / Out

This feature allows your staff members to clock-in and out of their shifts.


The system records the time and date of every clock-in and out, as well as taking a photo of the staff member.


This information is saved in the Staff page where you can view each employee’s total hours worked and the total cost of those hours.


Go to the homepage and tap on Clock-In / Out.

Now that your staff member has been given a passcode, they can use it to clock-in and out of the application.


A screen will be shown, allowing staff members to type in their unique passcode.

Once a valid code has been entered, the Clock-In / Out page will appear.


Tap the highlighted button (which will either read Clock-In or Clock-Out, depending on whether they’re currently clocked-in or not).

View Clock-In / Out Activity

Return to the Staff List page, select the staff member for whom you wish to see their clock in / out activity, followed by tapping the Clock In / Out button.

A pop-up window will appear displaying all time clock activity for this staff member.
