Selling a Single Item in Separate Units
Single Item in Separate Units
This section explains how to create variations of a single item and sell it in different units (e.g. Alcohol sold by the bottle, glass and shot).
Get to the page below via
Home Page > Inventory > New Item > Matrix > Matrix Attributes and Values

Attributes and Values
Tap ‘New Attributes & Values’

Tap the field and input an attribute (e.g. In this case, Sell Unit).

Tap ‘Add Value’ and input values for the attribute (e.g. Bottle, Glass and Shot).

Add some or all of the sell units into Matrix Inventory Items.

If you already have the item in your inventory, tap ‘Link Existing Item’.

A pop-up menu will appear. Begin by tapping an inventory group, revealing all the items within it, then select the item from the right hand-side (e.g. Vodka). Alternatively, you can use the search bar to find an item.

For this example, neither glasses or shots have been previously saved as inventory items and therefore have to be added. Do this by tapping ‘New Item’.

Tap whichever item type is applicable. In this case, it would be ‘Product’.

The new product menu will appear. To build this kind of matrix we need the advanced options. Tap ‘Advanced Info’.

When creating matrices such as this, there are two pages, in particular, that should be completed.

The first of which is Ingredients, Materials & Costs.
Begin by tapping ‘Inventory’.

We need to link the shot to the main product we have saved in our inventory. Tap the field highlighted, followed by selecting an inventory group, revealing all the items within it, then select the item from the right hand-side (Vodka).

We now need to define the parameters of a shot in relation to the vodka. A single shot is roughly 25ml, so we need to tell the system to remove that amount from the 1000ml bottle of vodka per every shot sold. Use the quantity field and input a value (0.025), after which use the cost field to input the amount of money the ingredients or materials cost you.

The next thing that needs to be filled out is located in the Stock and Location page.

Now when you select that particular item in the POS page, you will be shown all variations for that product.
